A recent article in the Malvern Gazette made a profound impact on two pupils at The Wyche CE School. The story of Stella Hewett and her dog Jenson, captured the girl’s imagination and they decided to wished to contribute to the Colour Wheel appeal that is seeking to raise £10,000 to train another dog. Jenson has become integral part of Stella’s life and this week she came into the school to explain to the children how the dog has transformed her life. From loading the washing machine, operating lifts and using pelican crossings the children came to appreciate how much Stella’s life has been transformed by her canine helper. In the light of this two of the school’s pupils, Freya Kunst and Amy Russell, decided that rather than having presents themselves for their birthday they would ask friends and relatives to give the money they would have spent to the Colour Wheel initiative and to the orphans in the Wyche's link school of Gofu Juu. They raised £90 for the African children which will be donated to the school's charity "Wychumvi"
